One thing I miss about working with B: access to shit. This whole system I've got going - namely, the one where I don't have access to GCPD files unless I ask Oracle really nicely - is getting old. Like, really old. And old is never a good thing when your cases are time-sensitive. Like, oh, the possibility of kids being "exported" from the docks.

But I can't get the files I need, because I don't have B's connections. Not that he ever answers my calls, but... well, he's not answering my calls. My normal go-to in this situation is "blow shit up," but I don't want to hurt any bystanders, mostly because they're kids, and blowing them up isn't saving them.

This sucks.

I can't believe I'm suggesting this, but you can't break into the GCPD if you need to? We've had to do that in Star City a few times.

I could, but it's not a one-man job, and I'm running low on allies in Gotham. The GCPD building is... let's call it "justifiably well-fortified" and leave it at that.

I don't mind it too much, though I doubt the GCPD have cleaned theirs in a while. I'll be sure to bring the ventilation mask.

Actually, going in under the guise of duct-cleaning might not be a bad idea, to handle at least part of this job as a con as much as B&E.

It's not like they expect anyone to break in and try and reroute their dispatch units to actually tip them off to large scale crime.

Work it the right way, we get good cops on the scene, they get recognized for breaking the case, bad guys go down, no one knows we were there.

And that would... get us police uniforms and weapons so we could impersonate Gotham Police officers and arrest the bad guys?

If things go south, it would be workable, too. Provided we still keep ourselves out of sight and get a radio to call in backup.

The costumes shouldn't be too hard to get, but if they're as secure as you say they are, I'm guessing they're on the lookout for that type of thing.

Eh, only maybe, to be honest. They're more secure in the "it's hard to get in there" way. Once we're in, it shouldn't be too bad; the night shift especially gets a little too trusting of their security.

Oracle's busy right now with another case, and I don't want to screw up anything she's doing. And I don't want to be the one to call you into Gotham over B's head - you know he gets twitchy about other people operating in his city, and I'm already on his shit list. Thanks, though.

I highly doubt that's true. Besides, there's nothing wrong with helping out fellow heroes, that's one of the reasons the Justice League was founded. Bruce knows this.
